Our Structural Engineer requires??thorough knowledge of civil/structural design and engineering techniques. Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and our standards. The successful candidate will foster a positive work environment through the selection and training process, build department strength through delegation and people development, and set up and maintain the goals and controls to ensure that budgets are met.

???????? Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.?
???????? Perform analysis of building materials for use in construction.
???????? Develops blueprints or specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations.
???????? Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents.?
???????? Perform field activities such as observe and record existing field conditions, take and verify measurements within project area.?
???????? Organize, draft, and coordinate technical documents.?
???????? Capable and experienced in managing and performing projects in a fast paced environment.?
???????? May oversee departmental reviews and salary adjustments in coordination with the Senior Manager.
???????? Work with estimators to develop engineering budgets and then ensure they are met.
???????? Arrange for training as required to maintain a high level of competency and to achieve new technology integration.
???????? Develop department schedules in conjunction with the Job Captains and Project Managers.
???????? Oversee the maintenance and updating of the Engineering Standards.
???????? Ensure that systems and people are in place to deliver accurate drawings.
???????? Oversee the timely issuance of Requests for Information (RFI?s) from the department.
???????? Actively seek ways to increase the department?s efficiency.
???????? Supervise Job Captains.
???????? Other duties as the job requires.
